Parent Announcement – Week 5

Dear Families,

Through Week 5, we are proud to say it has been a strong and positive start to the school year. Thank you for your continued partnership in helping us provide a safe, welcoming, and successful learning environment for all students. Please review the following important reminders:

Attendance Matters

Please remember to notify the office if your child will miss school for any reason (illness, doctor’s appointment, family need, etc.). Our goal is to raise our attendance rate into the 90% range this week, and every day in the classroom makes a difference. If there is anything we can do to help with attendance, please reach out—we are here to support you.

Building Security

For the safety of our students and staff, all visitors must check into the office upon arrival. Parents will not be allowed to enter the hallways or classrooms without prior approval or teacher consent. With recent events, we will be enforcing this policy more strictly moving forward. If you would like to meet with a teacher or administrator, please schedule the meeting in advance.

Student Safety on Campus

Once students step onto the school bus or arrive on school grounds, they are considered under our supervision and responsibility. Students may not leave campus during the school day for any reason. If your child would like to visit a gas station or coffee shop, please plan to do so before drop-off. Any student leaving campus without permission will face disciplinary consequences.

Cell Phone Policy

Our district’s cell phone policy requires that students keep phones in their backpacks during instructional time. Please take a moment to review the student handbook on our website for more details about expectations and consequences. We are proud to report that violations have been low, and we hope to continue this positive trend.
