About Me!
Hello fellow Huskies!
My name is Mrs. Lacy Gangestad, but most of you know me as Mrs. G. I am ecstatic to return as your art teacher for my 5th year! I have a passion for all things art, especially creating vibrant murals with chalk! I also enjoy nature photography and take my camera with me on our various hikes in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Although my husband and I grew up in Wyoming, we have loved calling the Rockies our home for the past 15 years.
I am an advocate for all things relating to the “arts” and understand how important it is to the growth and development of our students. I encourage a strong community by implementing group learning as well as fostering creativity with individual projects. This year will be filled with lots of projects relating to famous artists throughout history. Stay tuned for upcoming art shows and chances to create art with your student throughout the school year. I look forward to another fun-filled year!

¡Hola, compañeros Huskies!
Me llamo Sra. Lacy Gangestad, ¡pero la mayoría de vosotros me conocéis como la Sra. G! ¡Estoy encantada de volver como vuestra profesora de arte por quinto año consecutivo! Me apasiona todo lo relacionado con el arte, ¡especialmente crear murales llenos de color con tiza! También disfruto de la fotografía de naturaleza y me llevo la cámara a nuestras diversas excursiones por las Black Hills de Dakota del Sur. Aunque mi marido y yo crecimos en Wyoming, llevamos 15 años encantados de considerar las Montañas Rocosas nuestro hogar.
Soy una firme defensora de todo lo relacionado con las «artes» y entiendo lo importante que es para el crecimiento y el desarrollo de nuestros alumnos. Fomento una comunidad sólida mediante el aprendizaje en grupo, además de potenciar la creatividad con proyectos individuales. Este año estará repleto de proyectos relacionados con artistas famosos a lo largo de la historia.
