    High School Girls Basketball Head Coach


    Position Summary:

    This position is responsible for coaching the Highland High School girls’ basketball players. 

    Duties:

    Provide training direction, encouragement, motivation, and nutritional advice to prepare athletes for games, competitive events, or tours.

    Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions.

    Equipment check-out and organization.

    Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations.

    Plan and direct physical conditioning programs that will enable athletes to achieve maximum performance.

    Instruct individuals or groups in sports rules, game strategies, and performance principles, such as specific ways of moving the body, hands, or feet, to achieve desired results.

     

    Salary and Benefits:

    Salary depends on experience- an extra duty salary schedule can be found on the district's website

    The district provides a Medicare & PERA match as well as worker's compensation

    Responsibilities:

    Maintain and repair equipment associated with district buildings

    Prefer some basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing and HVAC

    Shipping and receiving

    Small equipment operation (bobcat, mowers, lift, etc…) 

    Requirements: 

    Experience preferred but not required 

    Salary and Benefits:

    Salary ranges from $16.25-$17.00 per hour depending on experience

    Full-time Severe Support Needs Health Tech Paraprofessional


    Position Summary:

    The Health Tech will be trained by the school nurse and will work under the supervision of the school nurse assisting students in the Significant Support Needs Classroom with daily health/medical care.

    Physical Requirements:

    Physical requirements include being in physical condition to enable walking, lifting, standing, sitting,

    stooping, kneeling, crouching, as well as stamina to be on your feet and active for full work days.

    Duties:

    Administering medication

    Administering gastrostomy tube feedings

    Urinary catheterization

    Daily stretching of students as directed by the physical therapist

    Providing bathroom care/diaper changes

    Documenting health procedures

    Communicating with parents

    Other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    High School Diploma
    Certified in First Aid and CPR
    Medical experience (such as CNA) preferred

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum starting rate is $13.00 per hour depending on experience

    Transportation Monitor

    Position Summary:

    This position is responsible for monitoring elementary students waiting for the school bus

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Unlock Middle School Gym at 7:30 a.m. each school day

    Monitor K-5 students as they play

    Handle occasional sick students

    Provide assistance for minor injuries (i.e scrapes)

    Enforce gym rules

    Help students line up and get on the bus

    Lock up the gym once all of the students are on the bus, generally 8:00 a.m.

    Salary will start at $12.00 an hour, depending on experience.

    Part-time Bus Driver


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Operates assigned school bus in compliance with procedures contained in the school bus operator's handbook,

    including all local state and federal laws.

    Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle.

    Maintains student conduct that insures the safety of all students.

    Coordinates with supervisor to insure all required information is current and accurate.

    Completes appropriate paperwork.

    Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the district or the state.

    Administers first aid as necessary.

    Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.

    Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

    Licenses or Certification:

    Ability to Obtain a Colorado Commercial Drivers License

    Pass a First Aid / CPR Course

    Present a Motor Vehicle Report

    Essential Environmental Demands:

    Some dust and dirt, fumes and odors, noise, temperature extremes, and hazardous situations.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, arms, feet, and legs.

    The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop; kneel or crouch; talk and hear.

    In the event of an emergency school bus evacuation, the employee may be required to assist in the removal of

    children from the rear of the vehicle requiring moving/lifting of over 100 lbs.

    Have the physical ability to make a 42-inch drop from an exit door.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

    peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Additional Duties & Benefits:

    The contract period for bus drivers is the instructional calendar.

    Occasionally, drivers will have the opportunity to drive in the summer.

    These trips are usually offered to drivers who receive medical benefits.

    Drivers are entitled to severance, as well as sick, bereavement, and personal leave.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum starting rate is $15.00 per hour or more depending on experience. 

    Benefits include long term disability, paid holidays, as well as other benefits specific to our school district.
