High School Head Football Coach (2023 season)
Primary Responsibilities:
Attend all practices and games
Ensure the safety of all participants in practice and at games
Adhere to the district athletic policies and eligibility process
Communicate and work with Athletic Director as needed
Develop and implement practice plans in order to maximize time and player development
Communicate with parents regarding rules and expectations of practices and activities
Adhere to Weld RE-9 District and CHSAA policies
Attend CHSAA and league meetings
Hire and work with assistant coaching staff
Communicate with all stakeholders as needed
Complete inventories of supplies at the end of each season
Fundraise for the program as needed
Model and ensure that all participants exhibit
appropriate sportsmanlike conduct that upholds the honor and values of our community Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required and candidate must pass a fingerprint background check as a condition of employment. Upon hiring, the candidate must complete CHSAA testing as well as mandatory CHSAA courses and CPR/First Aid training. Preference will be given to candidates who can also teach high school PE for the 2023-2024 school year.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is 10% of base teacher salary ($4340 per season), as well as enrollment in a PERA retirement plan and unemployment insurance. Candidates who have previously coached football for Weld Re-9 are eligible for $150 per year as an experience factor. Coaching at other districts or schools does not count towards the experience factor.

This position is responsible for teaching the following possible subjects: Weights, Men’s and Women’s Athletic Fitness, Health, and Physical Education. There are also opportunities to coach various sports, including high school football.

Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in PE with a teaching certification. Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing and qualified to take on the role of high school football head coach.

Special Education Paraprofessional (2023-2024 school year)
This person is responsible for working in a team environment in a secondary Special Education Department assisting the instructors in providing educational experiences and support to students. Physical requirements include being in physical condition to enable walking, lifting, standing, sitting, as well as stamina to be on feet and active for full work days. The employee is required to interact with the public and other staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide instructional assistance to special education students
Monitor and evaluate student progress
Assisting students in a general education classroom
Participate as a classified staff member within the building
Participate in all aspects of special education students schooling experience
Responsible for providing a safe educational environment
Participant in implementing students’ Individual Education Plans and behavior plans
Requirements:
Experience working with high age students and students with disabilities preferred, but not required. Applicant must demonstrate a great deal of patience and empathy.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range is $15.00-17.50 per hour depending on years of experience, medical field training/education, and position assigned (teacher aide or health technician).
