    English Language Learner Tutors

     
    The Weld Re-9 School District is looking for 1-3 individuals to tutor ELL elementary students. Highland Elementary School is located in Pierce, less than 20 minutes from Greeley and Fort Collins. Hours are flexible and would be during the course of the normal school day. Individuals would be independent contractors and paid at a rate of $20 per hour.

    Full Time Paraprofessional

    The Weld Re-9 School District headquartered in Ault, Colorado has a position with benefits open for a 37.5 hour per week (7.5 hour per day) high school Special Education Paraprofessional.

    This person is responsible for working in a team environment in a High School Special Education Department assisting the instructors in providing educational experiences and support to students. Physical requirements include being in physical condition to enable walking, lifting, standing, sitting, as well as stamina to be on feet and active for full work days. The employee is required to interact with the public and other staff.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Provide instructional assistance to special education students

    Monitor and evaluate student progress

    Assisting students in a general education classroom

    Participate as a classified staff member within the building

    Participate in all aspects of special education students schooling experience

    Responsible for providing a safe educational environment

    Participant in implementing students’ Individual Education Plans and behavior plans

    Any and all duties as assigned 

     

    Requirements:

    Experience working with high age students. Experience working with students with disabilities preferred. Applicant must demonstrate a great deal of patience and empathy.

     

    Salary and Benefits:

    Part-Time Food Services Worker

    The position is responsible for working in the cafeteria as a kitchen aide/server with other staff providing the necessary support to serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth. 

    This position is 5.75 hours per day. 

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Cutting and preparing fruits and vegetables for the daily salad bar 

    Adjusts recipes based on student counts for the day 

    Adheres to all Health Department guidelines to ensure food safety 

    Serves lunch while providing excellent customer service to students and staff

    Assists with the clean-up after lunch has been served 

    Works with kitchen related equipment 

    Must work quickly and efficiently 

    Assists with production records 

    Assists in recording and maintaining temperature logs for food and equipment Will rotate job duties with other cafeteria staff 

    Other duties as assigned

    Middle School Paraprofessional with Office & Health Care Duties

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Healthcare screener with specific responsibilities determined by school nurse.

    Serve as substitute building secretary in the event secretary is gone.

    Responsible for covering the main office while secretary is on lunch break.

    Responsible for some medication distribution and health-care monitoring (annual training required and provided).

    Provide instructional support to special education students (scheduled determined by special education teacher).

    Supervision duties as assigned by principal.

     Daily Schedule:

    7:45 -- 8:30 – Healthcare Screener

     8:30 – 10:30 Nurses Station / Data Management

    10:30 – 11:20 Instructional Support

    11:20 --12:00 -- Lunch 

    12:00—12:40 – Office Coverage

    12:40 – 2:50 – Instructional Support  

    2:50 -- 3:45 – Data Management

    **This is an initial schedule that is subject to change depending on enrollment, new students, and/or students withdrawing.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Salary ranges from $12.50-$14.40 per hour depending on experience and training (some provided by school nurse). The district provides health insurance benefits, PERA, and life insurance. Weld RE-9 offers sick leave, personal leave, as well as other benefits specific to our school district.

    Part-time Bus Driver


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Operates assigned school bus in compliance with procedures contained in the school bus operator's handbook,

    including all local state and federal laws.

    Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle.

    Maintains student conduct that insures the safety of all students.

    Coordinates with supervisor to insure all required information is current and accurate.

    Completes appropriate paperwork.

    Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the district or the state.

    Administers first aid as necessary.

    Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.

    Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

    Licenses or Certification:

    Ability to Obtain a Colorado Commercial Drivers License

    Pass a First Aid / CPR Course

    Present a Motor Vehicle Report

    Essential Environmental Demands:

    Some dust and dirt, fumes and odors, noise, temperature extremes, and hazardous situations.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, arms, feet, and legs.

    The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop; kneel or crouch; talk and hear.

    In the event of an emergency school bus evacuation, the employee may be required to assist in the removal of

    children from the rear of the vehicle requiring moving/lifting of over 100 lbs.

    Have the physical ability to make a 42-inch drop from an exit door.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

    peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Additional Duties & Benefits:

    The contract period for bus drivers is the instructional calendar.

    Occasionally, drivers will have the opportunity to drive in the summer.

    These trips are usually offered to drivers who receive medical benefits.

    Drivers are entitled to severance, as well as sick, bereavement, and personal leave.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum starting rate is $17.00 per hour or more depending on experience. 

    Benefits include long term disability, paid holidays, as well as other benefits specific to our school district.
