    Maintenance Technician

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Maintain and repair equipment associated with district buildings

    Prefer some basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing and HVAC

    Shipping and receiving

    Small equipment operation (bobcat, mowers, lift, etc…)

     Requirements:

    High School Diploma
    Previous experience preferred, but not required

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum salary is $16.25-17.00 per hour depending on experience and education as of the time of this posting, with an increase expected beginning July 1. The district provides a single medical insurance plan valued at $653 per month with  optional vision and dental insurance. Life insurance and long-term disability coverage is provided. Two weeks of paid vacation is provided after the first year.  Additionally, you will receive 10 paid holidays, twelve sick leave and three personal leave days.

    Middle School Music Teacher

     

    Position Summary:

    The teacher hired for this position is responsible for teaching middle school music; primarily to sixth through eighth grade students. Physical requirements include being in physical condition to enable walking, lifting, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, as well stamina to be on feet and active for full work days.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Primary instructional responsibility is to teach 6th-8th grade band and choir classes

    Plan and provide high quality instruction

    Monitor and evaluate student progress

    Prepare educational records and reports

    Analyze student data and differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs

    Conduct classroom and standardized assessments to measure student growth

    Teach mini-courses that support primary curriculum

     

    Other duties as deemed appropriate by building principal

    Requirements:

    Possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License.

    Have a strong background in music and be able to participate in activities with students.

    Be innovative and able to communicate effectively.

    Be able to quickly learn new computer programs as they are introduced and become available.

    Be familiar with Google applications.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Elementary School Counselor

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Approximately 420 students on case load

    Support classroom teachers with behavior intervention

    Oversee 504 plans as well as district progress monitoring testing

    Be a strong supporter of the classroom teacher

    Assist Principal with supervision (activities, playground and hall duty)

    Actively interact with students both in and out of the classroom

    Lead teachers in providing social and emotional learning

    Ensure students have access to needed materials such as school supplies

    Serve as building homeless student liaison

    Serve as School Assessment Coordinator for all state assessments

    Other duties as deemed appropriate by building principal

    Requirements:

    Candidate must possess or be able to obtain appropriate licensing from the Colorado Department of Education.  MA degree in guidance and counseling strongly preferred.  Teaching experience strongly preferred.  Strongly preferred that candidate is a team player willing to go above and beyond basic contractual requirements.

    Position Summary:

    This person is responsible for working in a team environment in a High School Special Education Department assisting the instructors in providing educational experiences and support to students. The employee is required to interact with the public and other staff.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Provide instructional assistance to special education students

    Monitor and evaluate student progress

    Assisting students in a general education classroom

    Participate as a classified staff member within the building

    Participate in all aspects of special education students schooling experience

    Responsible for providing a safe educational environment

    Participant in implementing students’ Individual Education Plans and behavior plans

     Requirements:

    Experience working with high age students. Experience working with students with disabilities preferred. Applicant must demonstrate a great deal of patience and empathy.

    Position Summary:

    This position is responsible for instruction a 5th grade classroom and focusing on 5th grade math. Creates lesson plans and creates a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional program.

     Primary Responsibilities:

    Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.

    Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.

    Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities in whole group, small group and 1:1 situations

    Create positive educational climate for students to learn in.

    Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation pertinent to academic, social, and emotional progress and needs of students.

    Utilize various curriculum resources.

    Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.

    Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.

    Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.

    Participate in ongoing training sessions.

    Read and stay abreast of current topics in education.

    Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.

    Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

    Prepare and distribute required reports.

    Observe and evaluate student's performance.

    Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.

    Maintain grade books.

    Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed.

    Create projects designed to enhance lectures.

    Develop incentives to keep participants in class.

    Communicate students’ progress, and needs with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.

    Position Summary:

    This position is responsible for serving as a resident substitute for the entirety of the school year. 

     Primary Responsibilities:

    Follow curriculum and lesson plans assigned by regular teacher

    Manage classrooms effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment

    Oversee students outside of the classroom including in the hallways, playgrounds, and cafeteria

    Take attendance

    Follow school regulations and policies

    Participate in professional development opportunities

    Any other duties as assigned

     Requirements:

    Minimum of a Colorado Department of Education Substitute License with a K-12 authorization or the ability to obtain one.

      Salary and Benefits:

    For substitutes with a substitute authorization, salary is the average of substitute pay and the base teaching salary, $30,480.     Part-time Bus Driver


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Operates assigned school bus in compliance with procedures contained in the school bus operator's handbook,

    including all local state and federal laws.

    Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle.

    Maintains student conduct that insures the safety of all students.

    Coordinates with supervisor to insure all required information is current and accurate.

    Completes appropriate paperwork.

    Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the district or the state.

    Administers first aid as necessary.

    Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.

    Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

    Licenses or Certification:

    Ability to Obtain a Colorado Commercial Drivers License

    Pass a First Aid / CPR Course

    Present a Motor Vehicle Report

    Essential Environmental Demands:

    Some dust and dirt, fumes and odors, noise, temperature extremes, and hazardous situations.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, arms, feet, and legs.

    The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop; kneel or crouch; talk and hear.

    In the event of an emergency school bus evacuation, the employee may be required to assist in the removal of

    children from the rear of the vehicle requiring moving/lifting of over 100 lbs.

    Have the physical ability to make a 42-inch drop from an exit door.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

    peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Additional Duties & Benefits:

    The contract period for bus drivers is the instructional calendar.

    Occasionally, drivers will have the opportunity to drive in the summer.

    These trips are usually offered to drivers who receive medical benefits.

    Drivers are entitled to severance, as well as sick, bereavement, and personal leave.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum starting rate is $17.00 per hour or more depending on experience. 

    Benefits include long term disability, paid holidays, as well as other benefits specific to our school district.
