Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Lacy

My name is Jocelyn Lacy, and I love being a husky at Highland Elementary. This will be my third year teaching Kindergarten here. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Endorsement from the University of Northern Colorado.
I am originally from Switzerland, but I grew up in a small community near Fort Collins. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors with my husband and our big dog; hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, paddle boarding, horse back riding, and traveling are just some of my favorite hobbies.

My goal this year is to help your child learn both academic and practical skills needed to successfully navigate the classroom and the world around them. I stive to create a welcoming environment where your child can grow socially and emotionally. Kindergarten is such a meaningful year in your child’s life, as they embark on their school career. Your child will make lots of new friends, learn how to read, write, and do math, and most importantly have fun!

I look forward to learning and growing together!
