Mrs. Derra Larsen

Hello,

My name is Derra Larsen and I am a teacher in the Language Arts department at Highland High School. This is my second year of teaching. I am very excited to be working with the students of Highland again. I am a Colorado native from the Littleton area. I did my undergratuate studies at Colorado State University where I studied English with a minor in Creative Writing. When my daughters started kindergarten I went to graduate school and earned a Masters degree in Creative Writing from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. In 2015 my family and I moved back to Colorado. I decided to return to Colorado State University and finally get my teaching license and Master of Education. Highland High School feels like home.
