Hello Families,

This is my 25th year teaching at Highland Elementary School. This year I have been working with a fabulous bunch of kids. I am very lucky to spend my days with my incredible students. I can't express how much I enjoy my reading interventionist job. I work closely with each classroom teacher to ensure the students receive the instruction needed to move them forward as a reader.  My kids and I work hard each day on their quest to become a grade-level reader. Through various activities, texts and a safe learning environment, each student has made steps forward on this journey. I enjoy my time with your student and am glad I get to spend my days moving closer to a common goal.

I would love if every student read at least 30 minutes a day. If you have an older student please remind them that they need to read out loud! :) My younger kids need to practice their letters and letter sounds.  I am always here for you and your student.  My email is ccooper@weldre9.org .
