Welcome to 4th grade!   I'm beginning my tenth year at Highland, and my sixth year teaching 4th grade math.   Math is my favorite thing to teach, and I absolutely love that I get to teach it all day!  My hope is to share my love for math with my students, and watch as they learn to love it, too!  Life is full of opportunities to use what we learn every day.  

My dog, Bailey, and I are roommates and buddies.  We go for walks and enjoy some outside time together when we can. Baseball is THE BEST, but the Rockies have made it almost impossible to watch them on TV so I go to as many games in person as I can.  I love to travel, especially to the east coast where I'm from. The beaches on the Outer Banks of North Carolina are my favorite destination, but I also really enjoyed a week in the Bahamas once.  Most beaches will do!

My own children are grown-ups now, and I am so proud of each of them.  They are my greatest accomplishments.  My oldest, Erin, is a nurse.  She is married to Matthew and they have 3 beautiful daughters - a 6th grader, a 3rd grader, and a 1st grader.  My son, Ryan, is the next oldest, and he is a pilot!  Yay for "mom's flight benefits"!  He is married to Nicole and they have a very busy 3-year-old son, and a brand new baby boy born in October!!  My youngest, Jaime, and her husband, John, have a precious 2-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son!   Wow - my family is growing - 7 grandchildren!!!   We do lots of fun things together: trips to the beach, family game nights, french toast breakfasts (my mom's famous recipe), Rockies games, and all kinds of 5ks (walking for me, please).
