Hello!

My name is Lacy Gangestad, and I have the best gig at the elementary school as the Art Teacher! It's crazy messy fun, and I wouldn't have it any other way.  The 2024-2025 school year will be my third year teaching at HES.  I grew up in WY and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in psychology.  Later on, I received a great opportunity to pursue my dream of becoming an art teacher and became certified in Art Education.

As a Highland Art Educator, it is my goal to expose students to a variety of art as we learn about artists and their masterpieces from around the world.  I like to remind my students that mistakes are proof that they are trying, and to never give up on their creations!
