My name is Yessica Cruz this is my first year at Highland Elementary School. Prior to coming to HES, I was with ABC Child Development and taught preschool for 10 years. Raise in Burlington, CO my second-grade teacher was my biggest influencer to purse my career in teaching. I proudly graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelors in Elementary Education.

My goal is to create a welcoming classroom environment and help all students grow throughout our time together.  I believe every student is capable of greatness. In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends, I enjoy spending time exploring the outdoors.
