Hello Huskies! My name is Jennifer Ettema, and I am excited to be your science teacher for 7th and 8th grade this year. As a newly minted teacher, I am passionate about fostering a growth mindset in my students and making science accessible to everyone. I believe that with the right approach, every student can develop a love for science and see its relevance in their everyday lives.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Science and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado. My educational journey has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for all my students.
When I’m not in the classroom, you can often find me enjoying the great outdoors with friends and family. I also love reading, traveling, cooking, and trying new skills—whether it’s exploring a new craft, learning to restore junkyard-bound furniture, or experimenting with a new recipe. I am always eager to share my experiences with my students and encourage them to step out of their comfort zones.
